I don't know if performing the setup yourself as opposed to using a purchased pre FMBC memcard would help matters but if your chip has a disable feature at boot then you should be good to go. I was expecting after the install that the messiah 1 chip would somehow prevent FMCB from loading at power on and i would need to manually disable the chip but i was lucky and it worked fine. So, Im trying to modify the Grand Theft Auto III ISO (Namely, delete a file within, to see what happens), but the only program that allows me to do this is ImgBurn by copying the ISO contents to a folder, deleting the file, and putting the folder into a new ISO. Maybe installing FMBC using a burnt cd of ulaunch somehow got around the issue. Keep in ind that i was expecting this to not work due to the fact i was told that old messiah 1 chip would not work for FMCB setup because the chip don't have dev menu support (or something like that). after installing everything worked but i had to manually copy the OPL elf to a proper location on on my memcard for it to show up in FMCB main menu launch ulaunch from burnt cd and browse to usb drive and start the FMCB installerĤ. copy latest FMCB noob package to usb flash drive and insert into ps2ģ. For Debian instructions, click here to expand. Note that the above instructions are specifically for Ubuntu. burn ulaunch to cd by burning a pre built iso i found onlineĢ. Install via PPA (Ubuntu): sudo add-apt-repository ppa:agornostal/ulauncher & sudo apt update & sudo apt install ulauncher. My phat ps2 with an old messiah 1 chip is working fine with FMCB setup and info on the net stated that the chip would be incompatible.ġ.
